As a self-taught fashion designer with a formal background in the fine arts, Estrella Tadeo’s approach to design is very sculptural. She creates garments that work with the body, not around it. Each piece in the reconstructed vintage collection is a limited edition or one-of-a-kind garment; cut, sewn, or reconstructed with care and special attention to fit. By personally adding hand painted details and modern whimsical embellishments, Estrella transforms the once humdrum basics into fresh, contemporary, and best of all, unique pieces of practical art.
